A week in the long-stay P4/P5 car park at Gdańsk Airport costs 160 PLN, while a taxi from Wrzeszcz to the airport and back is about 130-170 PLN. If you live near the airport in Gdańsk and go away for a week or more, the taxi costs about the same or less. For short trips, from Sopot or Gdynia, or if you use the cheapest P7 car park (85 PLN a week), leaving the car is cheaper.

A parking day is 24 hours from the moment you drive in, not a calendar day. Drive in on Saturday at 4:30, leave the following Saturday at 23:00, and you pay for 8 days (170 PLN at P4/P5). Booking online on the airport website may give a different price than paying at the barrier, so compare both. Private car parks nearby have their own price lists.
What a taxi to the airport and back costs
From Gdańsk city centre (Śródmieście and the Old Town) and central Sopot the airport fare is fixed. Elsewhere the taxi runs on the meter. The figures come from the engine behind our online calculator, for a car with up to 4 people (metered fares approximate):

The night tariff runs from 22:00 to 6:00 and all day on Sundays and Polish public holidays. A 4:30 pickup for a 6:30 flight is a night ride, and so is a Sunday afternoon pickup at arrivals. More in our guide to the night tariff and in airport taxi to the city centre.

Against P7 (60 PLN for 3 days, 85 for 7, 125 for 14) the taxi loses every time except from Osowa for two weeks, where it comes out about even. The parking figures cover only the parking fee, and fuel comes on top. For your own trip, add the ride there and the ride back and compare that with the fee for all the 24-hour periods you will be away, plus fuel.
No car? Split the fare
The fare is per car, not per person. Four friends going from Wrzeszcz pay about 60 PLN by day, roughly 15 PLN each. From the city centre it is 99 PLN (120 PLN at night) for the whole car. Five or six people with suitcases need a minibus: 130 PLN by day and 150 PLN at night from the city centre, about 1.5 times the car fare elsewhere. See bus taxi.
What the tables don't show
A child seat or booster costs 40 PLN per seat on every ride, so 80 PLN for one seat there and back. It can only be added to a ride within the next 24 hours, the dispatcher confirms availability and you pay the driver, so book a return ride with a child seat within a day of landing.
For a pickup at the airport you give us your flight number. We track the flight, and if it is late the pickup time moves with it at no extra charge. After landing you get 45 minutes of free waiting for baggage and passport control. An estate car for big suitcases is free on rides from the airport and costs 20 PLN on the way there.
If a friend drops you off, Kiss&Fly is free for the first 10 minutes, then 25 PLN for every started 10 minutes. Someone waiting for a delayed flight pays less in the short-stay P1 or P3: 20 PLN at most for the first 2 hours (as of September 2026).

Which car park at Gdańsk Airport is the cheapest?
P7, which the airport's parking regulations call the cheapest: 60 PLN for 1-4 days, 85 PLN for a week, 125 PLN for two weeks.
Is the airport taxi more expensive on Sundays?
Yes. Sundays and public holidays are billed at the night tariff all day: 120 PLN instead of 99 PLN from the city centre.
Can I book in English and pay by card?
Yes. The booking form works in English. You pay the driver in cash or by card, or pay online by card; an online payment is only pre-authorised and gets charged once we confirm the ride.
Does a taxi from Gdynia make sense?
Rarely on price: about 380 PLN for two day rides from Gdynia Główna against 230 PLN for two weeks at P4/P5. It makes sense if you have no car or don't want to drive after a late flight.
