Hel Peninsula is a 35-km spit cutting into the Bay of Gdańsk. Hel — the town at the very tip — is famous for its seal sanctuary, lighthouse, German coastal fortifications from WWII, and beautiful beaches on both sides (open Baltic on one, the bay on the other).

Is 4 hours enough?

Yes, for the main attractions (sanctuary, lighthouse, beach, lunch). For a longer stay, we can extend the wait at 50 PLN/h.

Does the sanctuary have seal feedings?

Yes — daily at 11:00 and 14:00. Plan your visit around feeding time.

Will there be traffic on the peninsula?

In peak season (15 July–15 August) yes — sometimes 2 hours of jams. We recommend leaving before 8:00 or after 14:00.

Can I bring a dog?

Yes — 20 PLN extra. The peninsula has dog-friendly beaches (e.g. dog beach in Jastarnia).
