The Stutthof Museum in Sztutowo is a memorial to the victims of the first German concentration camp established outside the borders of the Third Reich. The camp operated from 2 September 1939 — the very first day of WWII — until 9 May 1945. Over 110 000 prisoners passed through, more than 65 000 of whom were murdered.
The museum doesn't recommend visits for children under 14 due to the difficult subject matter. The decision rests with the parents.
Yes — the museum offers tours in many languages, but they require advance booking by phone or email (stutthof.org).
Entry is free. Audio guide 10 PLN, group guide from 100 PLN.
In July and August we recommend booking online — queues can be long.
